Malfi!

The Duke of Amalfi is dead. His young and beautiful widow wishes to remarry—specifically, her steward Antonio. But her brothers, Ferdinand and the Cardinal, forbid her from marrying again. Secretly, the Duchess goes ahead and marries him anyway, and her brothers vow bitter revenge. The Cardinal takes up arms against her, while Ferdinand descends into madness, believing himself to be a werewolf. Neither hesitates to resort to poison or psychological torment, so that eventually death and ruin descend upon the duchy. Yet a glimmer of hope remains.
