Macbeth

Witches prophesy a glorious future for Macbeth: he will become king of Scotland. Lady Macbeth is electrified by the prospect of power and dominion. She urges her husband to take destiny into his own hands—even if it requires shedding blood. The story of the couple, whose relationship is driven not by love but by an obsession with power, ends tragically. Macbeth and his lady are haunted by the guilt they have brought upon themselves, each in their own way.
